HRLife are working with a growing, commercial business to find their next Head of Safety,
Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ).
Working for a multi-site business, you will be mobile and able to travel to various sites on a weekly basis.
This is a senior leadership role so you'll have previous experience in a similar role, working with the Senior leaders across the business to lead and develop the performance of the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality across multi-locations.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Being responsible for ensuring consistency of performance and SHEQ development throughout the business and compliance with all policies
- Ensuring that all employees and projects comply with all relevant regulations, compliance and specifications
- Leading by example to ensure that you protect and enhance the image and reputation of the business ensuring its a great place to work
- Enforcing and embedding regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on all compliance matters
- Motivating, leading and directing employees within the Company ensuring the required SHEQ, standards are achieved in all areas of the business
- Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
- Preparing reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
- Collating data for analysis and to enable target setting and review processes to take place.
- Reporting to ELT & other senior management on the performance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including provision of recommendations for system improvements
- Informing ELT & Senior Management Team of any major issues relating to the IMS
- Provide coaching for your team and ensure relevant training is taking place to ensure they are performing, engaged and happy
This is a great role for someone who has previous SHEQ experience, ideally at national level for a UK based business.
