Drainage Operative

On behalf of our client, a well-established and steadily expanding drainage contractor, Vector is urgently seeking Gully/Drainage Operatives for a permanent position near Glastonbury, Somerset, starting from day one.

Job Role

You will work alongside an HGV Driver as a two-person team. You will be required to operate a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains in order to prevent them from becoming blocked. This is a physical job due to the number of drain covers which need to be lifted on a daily basis.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 3pm - 1am or 4pm - 2am

Pay Rate

45 hours per week
14.37 - 15.50 per hour depending on experience

Requirements

• Willingness to undertake the physical aspect of the work.
• Experience working in a road environment or drainage desirable not essential.
