Assistant Site Manager

Vanbrugh Group are a construction recruitment consultancy who specialise in the recruitment of professional and technical staff for the built environment.

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager for our client, a successful South East London based main contractor that turnover in the region of £100M. They are specialists in individual refurbishment projects to the value of £5M across the Heritage, Arts, Education, High Security and London Estates markets. Typical projects are often unique and high profile buildings in London.

The business are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager into their construction team with a view to training and developing the successful individual to become a full Senior Site Manager and beyond. Full training and development will be provided through shadowing senior site team members as well as through further education and professional CPD.

Responsibilities:

Day-to-day supervision of the project liaising with the site teams, client and ensuring that all sub contractors are working efficiently, safely and productively

Ensuring that subcontractor works are carried out in accordance to the program and adjusting as required

Ensuring works are completed on time and to a high quality standard

Ensure that paperwork and reports such as Method Statements and Risk Assessments, are fully completed and submitted in-line with the company procedures

Stakeholder liaison as well as responsibility for internal progress reporting and meetings

Requirements:

In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have a construction trade background and need to hold a valid SMSTS or SSSTS certificate as well as First Aid and CSCS (although these are not essential).
