Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Asset Investment Delivery to lead our investment programme. Reporting directly to the Director of Asset Delivery, you will oversee the strategic planning, procurement, and delivery of major cyclical and planned works. You will ensure our £20 million annual investment is managed effectively, providing value for money and delivering a customer-centric service across FCHO’s assets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Set the vision and strategic direction for asset investment delivery, aligning with FCHO’s corporate goals and Asset Investment Strategy.
  • Team Management: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and others to deliver high-quality, compliant programmes that meet performance standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in compliance with CDM regulations, statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the investment programme, ensuring budgets are set, monitored, and met, with proactive risk management and accurate forecasting.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Collaborate with the Procurement Team to develop and implement strategies that maximise social value and ensure value for money from contractors.
  • Customer Focus: Set and monitor customer service standards, ensuring all work is aligned with customer needs and expectations.
  • Governance and Reporting: Provide robust governance and reporting structures, delivering timely and accurate performance reports up to Board level.
  • Health and Safety: Champion a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts to improve asset data management, procurement practices, and overall programme delivery to support FCHO’s long-term strategy.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in delivering asset investment strategies within the housing sector.
  • A proven leader with experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial management and project/programme performance monitoring skills.
  • Deep understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and health and safety regulations in construction.
  • A member of a relevant Chartered Body, or holding a related technical qualification at degree level.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and improving community outcomes.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
