Bookkeeper

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my prestigious client, based in St Albans, for an experienced Bookkeeper to join on a full-time, permanent basis.

Joining this established firm, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions and records of clients.

The client are offering hybrid working and a competitive salary.

Previous Bookkeeping experience is essential with candidates needing proven knowledge using Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.

About the role:

  • Manage client VAT returns
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for multiple clients for management review
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working opportunities after successful probationary period
  • Salary up to 35,000 - dependent on experience
  • Permanent

About you:

  • Proven Bookkeeping experience within an accounting practice environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • Accounts payable knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
