The Opportunity


We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, and personable Operations Manager to join a fantastic team in the West Midlands.


This brand offers a unique blend of formal dining and vibrant social spaces, offering customers a memorable experience in stylish, theatrical settings. Located in mainly in city centres and large market towns across England and Wales, and with 35 locations currently, the brand continues to grow, capturing the attention of a diverse customer base, from casual coffee drinkers during the day to groups celebrating special occasions in the evening.


As part of a larger hospitality group, this particular brand allows the wider group to expand into areas with a more occasion-focused demographic, often utilizing heritage buildings to create a sense of grandeur. With higher sales, EBITDA, and capital expenditure, brand is positioned for continuous success, appealing to all age groups and genders.



The Role


As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall operations ensuring that each customer enjoys a seamless experience from daytime dining to more formal evening service.


One of the main objectives in this role is you will be expected to foster high morale within the team by effectively communicating the company’s operating policies and maintaining service standards. Being the champion of the brands culture and values is of upmost importance with this role.


You will oversee financial performance by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, and analysing financial variances to implement corrective actions where needed.


As the Operations Manager, you will also be responsible for policy development, evaluating and enforcing policies related to product and inventory management, and ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.



The Candidate


We are looking for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is excited about the opportunity to work in a setting that merges casual daytime dining and evening operations.


The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in restaurant or bar management, particularly in high-volume, occasion-driven environments. You should have a proven ability to manage teams, drive sales, and maintain high standards of hospitality and service.


The role requires versatility to smoothly manage operations during both relaxed, all-day service and high-demand evening shifts. Strong financial acumen is essential, as you will be responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, and managing operational costs. A deep appreciation for hospitality, and a strong understanding of people will be key to your success.
