Shift Engineer

This is a great time to join the growing Engineering team at our clients highly Automated Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes.

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen the established team to work to a planned schedule of maintenance and respond to breakdowns confidently take ownership and seeing tasks through to completion.

With a wide range of machinery onsite that includes everything from belt and roller conveyors, hanging garment system, automated retrieval systems, shuttles, totes, box erectors, palletisers, cranes etc you really will get exposure to a wide range of equipment on this site

Key Responsibilities of a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer

• Safely carry out planned maintenance across the site ensuring maintenance procedures are followed.
• Update records of tasks and work completed including any spare parts that have been used from the store using the CMMS system.
• Be an integral part of the engineering team responding to breakdowns establishing route cause analysis to limit breakdown reoccurring and improving machine reliability and performance.
• Service and repair of equipment on site
• Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines
• Willing to learn and adapt to role requirements.
• Perform routine preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Hands on ownership of issues

Qualifications, Skills and Experience of a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in an Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• A solid understanding of PLC s
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience
• Computer Literate

• Salary £48,000 - £52,000 DOE
• Panama Shift Days and Nights
• Contracted 42 Hours per week
