Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established multi-disciplined engineering and environmental consultancy with 17 offices across the UK, on the appointment of a Town Planner for their Newcastle office.

In this role, you will work with a variety of clients on a true range of projects that span multiple sectors such as;

-Tourism.

-Health.

-Education.

-Community Uses.

-Waste and Energy Facilities.

-Public Sector.

-Commercial, Industrial and Logistics.

-Residential.

-Agricultural.

-Infrastructure including Ports & Harbours, Rail, Roads and Bridges.

The company's involvement spans all stages and aspects of the planning process including Project Management, Design Development, Assessment and Appeals. The team has a proven track record in managing multi-disciplined teams through the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP); and the Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA) process; and have represented clients as Expert Witness at Public Inquiry. The expertise they offer is evolving and now includes Water Framework Directives Assessments; Socio-Economics and Health Impact Assessments!

Requirements

-Planning qualification (or similar).

-MRTPI status or close to submitting.

-Planning experience, ideally including private sector experience.

-Strong communication skills.

-Strong project management skills.

-Strong development management experience.

-North East experience beneficial.
