About the role:
Our client is looking to grow their UK branch and has exciting opportunities for a Senior Project Planner to join their team, working on a variety of high-tech building design and construction projects. Project focus would initially be data centers and telecommunications facilities and would grow to include a variety of other facilities including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, manufacturing, airports, or institutional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project control processes, consulting with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction and deliver key objectives.
• Present detailed schedules and status reports to wider teams, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
• Utilize project control systems such as Primavera P6, and other tools to deliver best-in-class project solutions.
• Provide project control services, including the establishment of systems, planning controls, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting via dashboards.
• Manage schedules and earned value management to ensure project timelines and financials are on track.
• Build tender schedules for substation projects by interpreting drawings and client information, understanding construction sequences, and collaborating with design teams.
• Conduct impact analysis of delays and change events, implementing agreed Compensation Events.
• Support risk management processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Deliver leadership and training to team members, resolving complex project control challenges.
• Ensure understanding of relevant industry regulations, including CDM, and maintain high compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of direct project planning and controls experience.
• Proven expertise in project control systems such as Primavera P6 (Expert Level) and Power BI (Professional Level).
• Oracle Primavera Cloud experience is highly desirable.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to assess the financial impact of site-based activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with the project team and clients.
• Ability to thrive under pressure, working independently while maintaining excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
