Position Summary
This position will include the stripping down and replacing of Electrical and mechanical items on Rolling Stock unit class 390. You will be expected to complete Electrical and Mechanical re-fits from written work instruction so you must be competent in this area. You'll be expected to test and inspect all replaced components. This is a Safety Critical position and is a requirement against the Service Agreement (SA). This could also include the following:
Uncoupling and recoupling the units
Unplugging and re-plugging wires and connectors across the unit and underframe
Electrically disengaging and reengaging the bogies
Re-install wiring
Mechanical Support on the removal of Bogies and other mechanical Components
Work of schematics
Person Profile/Experience:
Previous Rail experience is preferred but not essential. Ideal industry's considered:

Defence -Submarines / Ships / Aircraft
EX Forces Mechanical Engineer - Routine Maintenance on Aircraft/ helicopters/ HGV (REME, RAF, Navy)

A Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an Electrical is a must
