Saw Operative | Sheffield | Full Time | Salary dependant on experience
Our client is the UK’s leading forge master in the oil & gas industry and has recently acquired accreditations for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. With over 40 years of experience in forging, they are specialists in creating bespoke products using open die forging.
Please note- The role will involve working 2 shifts, alternating weeks of morning and nights. Mornings, Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2 pm / Nights, Monday to Thursday, 8 pm to 6 am.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Previous experience of band Saw operation
- Physically fit as some heavy lifting/bending is required
- Ability to interpret instructions (written & verbal)
- Efficiency and attention to detail is essential
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Fork-Lift licence
- Combination Side loader Licence
- Manual Handling
- Reliable with excellent time keeping
What will your role look like?
- Responsible for the accurate and timely cutting of all material issued
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and safe (including minor maintenance)
- Accurate processing of paperwork in line with duties
- Responsible for the accurate and timely extraction and return to stock locations, of all materials pre and post cutting, (as applicable)
