As a Proposals Engineer at Applied Power Engineering (APE) Ltd, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of power generation, distribution, and utilization. You'll be creating proposals on exciting projects that push the boundaries of technology and engineering excellence with industry leading technology.

Your expertise will be crucial in developing winning & profitable proposals that showcase our cutting-edge solutions to clients throughout the UK.

The Role

• Engage with clients via face to face meetings, emails & phone calls to understand their needs, address inquiries, and build strong relationships with suppliers and clients throughout the proposal process
• Collaborate with colleagues and delivery partners to develop comprehensive proposals that meet client expectations
• Collating information and preparing accurate, competitive proposals (to agreed company metrics)
• Interpreting and responding to the technical content of tenders & RFI’s
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, programme of works, and technical documentation to support proposal development.
• Utilise your technical expertise to provide comprehensive solutions, increase customer engagement and delivery as a trusted technical advisor

Experience Required

• Proven experience in proposal engineering within the power industry, with a strong understanding of power generation, and distribution systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical requirements and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in proposal development tools and software (e.g., MS Office, proposal management systems, CRM).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and communicate technical concepts to clients.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality proposals on time and within budget.
