Interim Strategic Growth and Planning Director

McLean Public is delighted to be working on an Interim Strategic Growth and Planning Director for the UK's leading organisation in converting technology research crafted by government organisations into civilian applications. Their work is hugely multifaceted, providing many intellectual challenges to assess IP in support of the UK’s wealth and prosperity strategy. They are responsible for evaluating a wide variety of technologies and therefore need upbeat, versatile and passionate people to enable this process to run smoothly. They also provide commercialisation advice and expertise, enabling the UK to harness IP for the nation by working with their colleagues in industry, academia, and government departments. More specifically, you will be responsible for: Developing strategic expansion opportunities for Ploughshare in conjunction with the CEO and senior leadership team Working with the CEO and VP lead, manage the development programme, working as a team internally to coordinate various aspects of the programme Engaging with Defence and Security ecosystem to understand and develop strategic opportunities for business growth, partnership and collaboration Engaging with other government organisations to understand challenges and opportunities around knowledge assets and create opportunities for business growth, partnership and collaboration Developing relationships with key stakeholders, adding value to foster engagement by offering relevant high-level expertise Working to promote better value and increase impact from government owned knowledge assets This contract is home-based with some travel and outside IR35.
