The Role
Based in West Yorkshire, this role offers the chance to work across a range of exciting projects, including large-scale new-build residential developments and complex recladding schemes for high-rise buildings. As a Senior Architect you’ll play a vital role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with the design team from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stages 2-6, with a primary focus on residential schemes, both new builds and refurbishments.
- Create and manage 3D Revit models for design development and construction phases.
- Run multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the timely production of high-quality working drawings, specifications, and detailed documentation.
- Provide technical oversight and review the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
- Attend client meetings, providing expert technical input and liaising closely with clients and contractors.
- Conduct site visits, offering on-site technical advice and ensuring design intent is realized through construction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential/housing design, particularly with high-rise and refurbishment projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Building and Planning Regulations, as well as Design & Build Contracts.
- Strong technical abilities across various construction methods, ensuring efficient, innovative solutions.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to lead, mentor, and guide junior team members to success.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work closely with clients and stakeholders.
