The Role


Cera has grown significantly and successfully over recent years and acquisition has been a key driver of growth supplemented by organic growth of the core business

Cera’s Integration Management Office (IMO) has been set up to lead the successful integration of acquired businesses. We are now looking for an Integration Program Manager to join the Cera IMO and work collaboratively with Integration Program Managers, the Merger & Acquisition (M&A) team, the corporate functions and the acquired business to plan, drive and report on the integration of the new business. Attention to detail, being able to perform data analysis, speed of execution and controlled change are highly valued in this transformation process. The successful candidate will lead the integration efforts of new acquisitions, ensuring a smooth blend of both physical and technological aspects across our growing network.


Role Requirements:


This role is suitable for candidates with a combination of the below experience and skills, looking for an exciting new opportunity in health-tech:


  • The ideal candidate must be data and process driven, a quick learner and a natural problem solver
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful integration projects.
  • Familiarity with both physical operations and technology integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge and experience of working with standard corporate functional disciplines (IT, HR, Finance, Operations, Property, Recruitment, etc) and familiarity with key concepts within said functions
  • Ability to work collaboratively and create momentum and work autonomously, and able to deal with ambiguity and proactively take on tasks and drive them to completion
  • Ability to manage multiple pieces of work and work to tight deadlines
  • In depth planning and analytical problem-solving capabilities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level understanding of M&A concepts, deal life cycle and integration value drivers desirable but not essential
  • Relevant experience in healthcare/social care is desirable, but not essential
  • 4+ years minimum of project management experience, ideally in integrations/separations/carve-outs, either in-house or in advisory highly desirable


Key responsibilities:


The Integration Program Associate is responsible for providing support in the following areas:


  • One or more large M&A integration programs, either in part or as a whole, and successfully apply the Integration Playbook tools and principles to integrate newly acquired business
  • Coordinate the integration of new branches into the existing network.
  • Streamline operational processes, optimizing efficiency across all facilities.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the integration process and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
  • Analyzing data, driving actions and ensuring workstream(s) are appropriately aligned and coordinated and that there is a rigorous check on assumptions and plans against original objectives
  • Alignment of integration plans and integration budgets, and reporting on both
  • Meeting coordination, taking meeting minutes, notes, capturing actions, and driving them to conclusion by following up with relevant stakeholders
  • Tracking and reporting on all integration programs and their workstreams, tracking performance and identifying and managing issues and dependencies, producing consistent and clear status reports for both project teams and Executive/Board audiences
  • Performing data analysis as required (e.g. carer pay, branch footprint, contract terms) to confirm trends and solve emerging operational challenges arising during the integration
  • Facilitate transparent communication channels throughout the integration process, implementing change management strategies to ensure a smooth transition for both employees and clients.
  • Contributing to the Integration Playbook, ensuring it continues to evolve to meet the needs of the business and deliver successful integrations
  • Building effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders in the acquired company and within Cera
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of integration efforts and continuously monitor and report on the performance of integrated businesses and systems.
  • Completion of integration workstreams and perform handover of responsibilities to business functions (“integration program completion”)
  • Performing integration retrospectives to ensure that the process is continually improved
