As the Mechanical Engineer you will play a vital role in conducting mechanical engineering activities in the design, development, test and documentation of company products and their manufacturing test systems.


What you will do:


Carry out mechanical design and development to meet project requirements, to include:


  • Concept development
  • Computer Aided Design of metalwork and injection-moulded parts and assemblies
  • Computer Aided Design of cable harnesses
  • 3-D modelling
  • Mechanical product data management
  • Prototype evaluation and troubleshooting
  • Support the activities of the Test & Acceptance team on Integration and test, Test plan development and execution, and Test report writing
  • Technical documentation
  • Participate in mechanical design, build and other reviews


What we are looking for:


You will preferably have a 1st or 2:1 class degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject. We are particularly interested in receiving your application if you have experience in any of the following areas:


  • Previous experience in a Mechanical Engineering role
  • Some knowledge of communications systems equipment specification, design or test
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience of, Computer Aided Design of mechanical parts and assemblies, 3-D modelling and Mechanical troubleshooting


Experience with the following tools and packages would be beneficial: MS Office packages, Solidworks, Altium or Pro-Cad
