Alecto Recruitment is proud to be working alongside a well-established Patient Care provider, searching for a skilled Field Service Engineer with experience in servicing and maintaining Patient Handling and Disability Equipment. The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of mobility and patient care equipment. This role offers variety and autonomy, as you will plan your day efficiently to visit customer sites across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey. There is NO London work in this position. The role is predominantly focused on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, but there will be occasional installations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Service, repair, and maintain equipment such as:
- Ceiling Hoists
- Patient Lifting Aids
- Profiling Beds and Chairs
- Shower Trolleys
- Assisted Bathing Equipment
- Conduct fault finding and resolve issues efficiently to minimise equipment downtime.
- Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks to ensure patient safety and equipment longevity.
- Occasionally perform installations and commissioning of new equipment.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately and submit within agreed timescales.
- Maintain stock levels in your company vehicle, ensuring parts are available when needed.
- Order and organise any necessary replacement parts as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients to maintain trust and professionalism.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, ideally with patient care or disability/mobility equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills - a recognised qualification in these fields is required.
- Ability to fault find, carry out repairs and PPM confidently.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo additional product training.
