Bioanalytical Scientist (Protein Characterisation)

CY Partners have an exciting new role with a global pharamaceutical company at their site based in Hertfordshire. The role is an initial 12 month contract, with good scope for further employment, offering a salary of £43,000 - £48,000 DOE. The role will allow for hybrid working.

You will be a member of the R&D Large Molecule team, which is well established. The role also offers healthcare and wellbeing programmes along with other benefits.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute experiments to characterise proteins using biophysical methods, such as SEC, DLS and DSF
• Communicate experimental outcomes to non-experts on multi-disciplinary project teams
• Keep high quality electronic lab notebooks

Key Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in chemical or biological sciences.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience characterising proteins using biophysical methods

Also beneficial to have the following;

• Experience in working with automated liquid handlers
• Familiarity with antibody drug discovery processes
• Experience characterising protein-protein interactions using surface plasmon resonance
