Compliance Manager - Restoration/Heritage Main Contractor - Vauxhall, London A leading construction and conservation specialist in London and the Southeast of England is seeking a self-sufficient Compliance Manager.
This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the UK s most prestigious and historically significant projects, including Grade-listed buildings, scheduled monuments, World Heritage Sites, parochial churches, country estates, and modest memorials. Compliance Manager Role Overview:
The Compliance Manager will oversee and ensure that all construction activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements. As the sole compliance employee, you will play a key role in implementing quality control processes, conducting audits, and providing training to maintain high standards across all projects.
Compliance Manager Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement quality control plans and compliance procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of construction sites and processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor and document quality performance and compliance issues.
- Train and support staff on quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to resolve quality and compliance issues.
- Report on compliance status and quality metrics to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
What we are looking for: - Bachelor s degree in construction related field (Beneficial not compulsory)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance/compliance within the construction industry.
- Proficient in using MS Office, Excel, Teams
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage compliance tasks with minimal supervision.
