Job Advert: Regional Operational Technology Consultant iO Associates is currently seeking a Regional Operational Technology Consultant to join our client, a global leader in the FMCG sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing and advancing factory automation systems across multiple UK sites. The role is home-based with travel across factories in the North, Midlands, and South. Role Overview: As the Regional Operational Technology Consultant, you will lead the strategy for control and automation systems infrastructure (OT L0-L3) across various factories. You'll be responsible for managing the OT environment, ensuring the security, longevity, and standardisation of hardware and software systems. You'll also provide training and coaching to factory teams, manage projects, and support the rollout of new OT technologies. With expertise in OT systems like Siemens PLCs, Rockwell Logix, SCADA, and others, you will be a key driver of operational excellence within the organisation. Key Responsibilities: - Lead OT systems strategy, support, and project development for multiple UK sites. - Be the subject matter expert for OT technology, providing support and guidance to maintenance teams and operators. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations, group standards, and ITIL processes. - Manage OT projects, including system installations and upgrades, in collaboration with project teams. - Develop and implement a 5-year roadmap for OT system upgrades and obsolescence management. - Oversee third-party contractors during project implementation and support phases. - Drive the adoption of best practices in OT security, obsolescence, and systems integration. Skills & Experience: - In-depth knowledge of OT systems, including Siemens PLCs, WinCC SCADA, and Rockwell Logix. - Background in electrical engineering or a related discipline, with strong IT and OT security knowledge. - Demonstrable experience in managing OT environments, including system integration and project management. - Strong time management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
