Role: Solar Project Manager - Domestic and Commercial
Location: Kent, UK
£40,000-£55,000 DOE + EV scheme + healthcare + additional benefits
Reporting to: Operations Manager
The role:
As a project manager, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of a diverse range of Solar PV renewable energy projects, including residential installations, large-scale commercial ventures, and maintenance services. This role requires a hands-on approach, a proactive mindset, and the ability to coordinate effectively with both internal teams and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure seamless project execution by managing both in-house teams and third-party contractors.
- Oversee projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear project objectives and scopes.
- Oversee the availability and allocation of resources throughout the project.
- Develop detailed project plans and maintain oversight of progress.
- Utilise verification techniques to handle any changes in project scope, schedule, or costs.
- Use appropriate tools and techniques to assess project performance and report outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with third-party vendors involved in the projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Assist in the development of new business opportunities and lead assessments.
Experience:
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and closing projects, with a solid understanding of methodologies and tools.
- Strong ability to manage teams and align them with project goals.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies, including installation, maintenance, and system integration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for managing stakeholders and reporting progress.
- Analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
