ARM are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operations Supervisor on a permanent basis. As Logistics Operations Supervisor you will assume accountability for supervising the Logistics team,
The Role:
- Ensuring that required safety standards are managed in areas under their control, and that the appropriate safety equipment is used
- Supervising and prioritising the activities of the department
- The receipt and storage of technical items received at Gourock
- Ensuring that stock records are kept of technical items on hand and issued, and that the location of all items and fleet spares and equipment are known and appropriately identified
- Sourcing of spare parts and materials for use at breakdowns, annual overhauls and in service as required by Superintendents and occasionally Technical Manager’s
- Control of major vessels strategic key spares in conjunction with the responsible Technical Manager’s and Shore Service team
- Assisting Small Vessels with management & development of spares inventory
Requirements:
- Experienced in Logistics & Supply Chain management of high value engineering, or marine projects
- Working knowledge of maritime & logistics regulations
- Experience working in a senior logistics supervisory position in the marine sector
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals at all levels within the organisation
- Work cooperatively, supportively, and collaboratively with colleagues
- Educated to HND level or equivalent and have relevant qualifications and certification from either CILT, CIPS or BIFA
- Evidence of working in a highly unionised environment and experience of consultation and negotiation with unions.
