Responsive Repairs and Voids Manager

Housing Maintenance and Asset Management

Permanent

37 Hours per week

NS13 £42,403 - £44,428 per annum (Pay Award Pending)

Following an internal move within the Council, we are now recruiting for a Responsive Repairs and Voids Manager to join our Housing Maintenance and Asset Management team.

You will work alongside the Housing Maintenance Manager in effectively planning, monitoring, and coordinating the provision of the Responsive Repairs and Voids service, taking responsibility for operational delivery.

You will also be working with a great team, dedicated to delivering effective services for our tenants.

What you will do in this role:

  • Carry out effective management of staff within your team, maintaining good morale and a high standard of performance.
  • Assit with the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to support the efficient operation of the service.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators that drive high performance, taking action to address any issues.
  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of void property works.
  • In conjunction with the Compliance team, ensure that disrepair cases are handled in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Respond to complaints effectively and within set timeframes.

What we are looking for in the successful candidate:

  • Proven experience of managing building maintenance works, ideally within the housing sector.
  • Experience of successfully managing an operational team including direct employees and contractors.
  • Experience working with tenants and leaseholders.
  • Able to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Resourceful, with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Experience working with KPIs, to targets, and in within budgets to deliver an effective, efficient, and cost effective service.
