We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Production Scheduler to join our team on a 6-12 month rolling contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities to meet customer demands and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer orders, inventory targets, and production capabilities.
Coordinate with various departments including procurement, manufacturing, and quality to ensure seamless integration of production plans.
Analyse demand forecasts and adjust schedules to address changes in customer requirements and production constraints.
Monitor production progress and proactively address any issues or delays to maintain on time delivery performance.
Optimize resource utilization, including labour, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Implement and maintain production planning tools and systems to support scheduling activities.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on production status, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
Conduct regular reviews of production schedules to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all scheduling activities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Master Production Scheduler or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace industry.
Strong understanding of production planning principles, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing practices.
Proficiency in using production scheduling software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
