This role will see you come from potentially a number of different roles but with a keen interest in auditing & noting improvements.
It will see you working in a business that has invested into its technical department and allows you the room to do your job to the best of your ability.
Key areas will include;
- Provides key support to the technical function assisting in the production of safe, legal, authentic, and high-quality products.
- Update the internal audit risk assessment and develop the audit schedule in line with BRC, QMS and customer requirements
- Conduct internal audits in line with the audit schedule
- Conduct gap analysis against customer codes of practice and policies when new updates are released or as the review schedule dictates.
- Update and maintain internal audit templates ensuring they are fit for purpose and capture the necessary audit requirements/evidence
- Conduct opening and closing meetings with area owners when conducting audits
- Raise non conformities with relevant area owners, grading non conformities based on risk and agreeing on suitable time frames for corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain written audit reports of all internal audits/gap analysis conducted ensuring they are thorough, accurate and presentable
You will need;
- HACCP level 3
- Lead auditor qualification
- Previous auditing experience working in the food manufacturing industry
- Knowledge and experience of BRC GFS standard and UK retailer codes of practice
- Detailed knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Hygiene Practices
