An exciting opportunity has arisen. Hays is collaborating with a well-established leading supplier based in Gloucester. We are now looking for a Finance Assistant with credit control and purchase ledger experience to support our client on a full-time and permanent basis, in their finance team, due to continued growth within the business.Work hours for this position are typically 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours per week with a one-hour lunch.
Your new role
As a Finance Assistant, in this particular role, you will be responsible for carrying out the following duties:
To chase debt from clients You will post receipts and deal with expenses Processing purchase invoices and statement reconciliations To ensure both the purchase ledger and sales ledger runs smoothly As Finance Assistant, you will also liaise with sites to resolve queries and gather information Carry out verbal and written communications with both suppliers and customers Support the wider finance team and Finance Managers with general admin and ad hoc duties
What you'll need to succeed In order to be a successful candidate in light of the Accounts Assistant position, you will need:
Proficiency in Excel and accounting packages such as, Sage 200 Good communication and interpersonal skills To have at least one year of experience working in a similar role or in a finance teamExcellent attention to detail The ability to be self-sufficient, prioritise workload and to be organisedWhat you'll get in return In return, you will receive the following:
