Technical Safety Engineer (Norwich)

NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading oil and gas operator to recruit a Technical Safety Engineer for their Norwich office, supporting Southern North Sea operations. This full-time role is part of the QSHE team, ensuring compliance with UK safety legislation and best practices. Hybrid working options are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate safety studies (HAZID, Bowtie, ALARP)
  • Perform consequence modelling (PHAST/FLARESIM)
  • Conduct risk assessments (Fire/Explosion, QRA, Hazardous Area Classification)
  • Prepare and update Safety Case materials
  • Support regulatory compliance (OSDR/SCR, PFEER, DSEAR, etc.)
  • Provide safety guidance and liaise with regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Safety Engineering experience in Oil & Gas
  • Expertise in PHAST, BowTie XP, FLARESIM
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
