A National Multi-Disciplinary is opening a brand new office in Leeds City Centre as they look to expand across the North with the backing of an international consultancy. They are looking for a new Senior Engineer to join the new Associate Director in building a team with the support of the other two offices in the North.


You and the team will be tasked with delivering a number of Rail infrastructure projects including Station Upgrades, Bridges, Platform Extensions etc with the bulk of work being part of the Trans Pennine Route Upgrade.


This is a fantastic opportunity to increase your exposure to detailed design, project management, client liaison and delivery and offers a clear progression route as second in command. In return you they are willing to offer £40k - £50k + discretionary bonus, flexible working and competitive corporate benefits.


Senior Rail Engineer Responsibilities


  • Design of civil and structural schemes
  • Experiences in design of Bridges is essential.
  • Experiences in working with Network Rail will be an advantage.
  • Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
  • Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
  • Undertaking feasibility / option studies
  • Preparation of project programmes


Senior Rail Engineer Requirements


  • Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree BEng, MEng or MSc.
  • Chartership Qualification would be beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
