Our client is a leading PE-backed financial services firm looking to hire a Business Development Director within their Private Capital team


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the head of Private Capital and the wider Investment team to shape the presence in the right ecosystems and search for new avenues of business in keeping with the firm’s culture and risk appetite Private Capital business development strategy, build networks, grow our
  • Drive high-end business generation with a specific focus on high-quality new customer relationships and promote the Private Capital investment product and service proposition
  • You will be a seasoned business developer who may have experience working in the shadow of a senior adviser growing client relationships, prospects, and networks but now wants to step out on their own to grow their own career.
  • The firm are seeking an individual who is seeking to extend their proven track record managing and developing a client book in order to grow this new business, acting as a conduit for the firm’s investment capabilities whilst having exceptional investment adviser skills.
  • The role could suit an adviser with a broad network across relationships (client or prospect) that have developed from a theme (e.g. regional, sector-specific, intermediary linkages, referral) who would like to grow the network with the firm’s proposition.


Your Experience:

  • 10 years+ experience leading client relationships with family offices, ultra-high net worth individuals, charities and endowments across all geographic regions of the UK - usually from a private bank, or investment consultancy
  • Relevant Investment Management Qualifications are essential (CFA qualified preferred, Bachelors/University degree essential, Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience in control and monitoring of risk and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Ambitious and target focused with an executive level drive to succeed, creative and innovative.
  • Ability to influence at an executive level and relate, with personal credibility, to some of the firm’s most complex and esteemed customers.

The base salary for this role is competitive depending on the preferred location. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location.
