Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus commission


Benefits: 30 days annual leave, performance-based commission


Job Summary:


The National Business Development Manager for Manned Guarding at Guardsman Security Group is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the company’s manned guarding services nationwide. This individual will be tasked with identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategies to achieve sales targets. The role requires a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge, a proven track record in business development within manned guarding, and the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.


Key Responsibilities:


• Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the manned guarding sector, aligning with the overall company goals.

• Identify and evaluate market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.

• Sales and Revenue Growth:

• Drive sales initiatives to achieve or exceed annual revenue targets.

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and market research.

• Lead the negotiation and closing of contracts with key accounts.

• Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.

• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing exceptional service and support.

• Conduct regular client meetings to discuss their evolving security needs and propose suitable solutions.

• Team Leadership and Collaboration:

• Work closely with regional sales teams and other internal stakeholders to coordinate business development efforts and share best practices.

• Mentor and guide junior business development team members to enhance their skills and performance.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.

• Operational and Financial Oversight:

• Prepare and manage budgets for business development activities.

• Monitor sales performance metrics and report regularly to senior management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client contractual obligations.

• Product and Service Innovation:

• Collaborate with the operations team to tailor manned guarding services to meet specific client needs.

• Provide feedback and insights to the product development team to enhance service offerings.


Qualifications:


• Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, with a focus on security services or related industries.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a national or large regional market.

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of the manned guarding industry and related regulatory environment.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and decision-makers.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.

• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in security management or sales management are advantageous.


Additional Requirements:


• Travel: This position requires significant travel across the country to meet clients and support regional teams.

Compensation and Benefits:


Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Commission: Performance-based commission structure.

Annual Leave: 30 days annual leave.
