Interim Operations Manager

Location: Lydney

Position: Full time, Temporary 4-8 months

Salary: Up to £50,000 + benefits

Delivering a best in class service to their customers, they are continuously investing in infrastructure, people and new technologies to meet the typical high demands of today s business. Our client is the most reputable, and established business in the local area.

This opportunity is to cover a predicted 4 to 8 month period, during busy production times.

Responsibilities of Operations Manager:

  • Responsible for daily operations management, as well as a team of circa. 30
  • Ensuring all operations are carried out in line with legal requirements, compliance and Health and Safety procedures
  • Maintaining continuous improvement, looking to reduce waste and reduce business costs
  • Manage capacity of the department, ensuring timely productions, and high quality standards
  • Promoting company visions, values, procedures, and policies to maintain a positive, dynamic working environment
  • Work with the Managing Director regarding the agreed financial budget
  • Analysing production performances, creating ongoing improvements for the depot
  • Generate and analyse reports and KPIs, noticing trends, and improvements to enhance performance

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5 + years of Production experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with managing large teams, including performance management, recruitment, inductions and absence management
  • IOSH or equivalent qualification would be an advantage
  • Great personal attributes to be able to lead and influence positivity and productivity throughout the team
  • Great IT skills, including familiarity of all Microsoft platforms
