Head of Finance

OVERVIEW

Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead the financial operations of a growing technology organisation based in Warwickshire.

COMPANY

This technology organisation owns and operates three distinct businesses, each with over a decade of experience and combined annual turnover exceeding £5M. The company’s focus spans across B2B and consumer markets, providing a wide range of technology services including telecoms, IT support, cybersecurity, and smart home tools. With a solid foundation and ambitious growth plans, the company continues to expand its market presence both in the UK and internationally.

ROLE

As Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business, driving financial planning, forecasting, and reporting. You will take full ownership of the financial strategy across the organisation's three businesses. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Strategy & Planning:

• Implement reliable financial systems and processes to support long-term growth.
• Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reviews.
• Provide regular financial analysis and insights to the senior leadership team.

Financial Reporting & Risk Management:

• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual financial reviews, making strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality work.
• Lead the finance team in achieving key KPIs, such as managing aged debtors, controlling costs, and meeting long-term financial goals.

Business Partnering:

• Work closely with the senior management team, providing financial insights to support business decisions.
• Balance risk and opportunities, ensuring that financial objectives are aligned with the company’s strategic vision.

PERSON

The ideal candidate will have been a number 1 in finance before and be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). You will also have:

• Proven experience as a Finance Leader or in a similar role, ideally within the IT, Telecoms, MSP, or Security sectors.
• A deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulations in the UK.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering strong financial results.
