Data Protection Manager wanted by an established FinTech software company, who build risk assessment products for the Insurance, ReInsurance and Pensions markets.


You’ll be joining an established team and will be the Data Protection subject matter expert, promoting best practice and developing policies and procedures to support this.


You’ll be tasked with monitoring compliance with data privacy practice internally to ensure that the business functions comply with applicable requirements under relevant data privacy legislation. The business is already a well established leader within their domain. However, they like to keep team sizes quite small as they want people to have a major say and influence on projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR and relevant insurance regulations.
  • Experienced and able to work with One Trust software
  • Conduct regular data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and review data processing activities to ensure compliance and address any breaches or incidents promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data protection inquiries and training across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data security measures are effectively integrated into business operations.
  • Prepare and deliver training programs to educate employees about data protection best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging data protection trends, technologies, and legislation to keep the company compliant and competitive.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage relationships with external stakeholders regarding data protection matters.


The Data Protection Manager will earn up to £110,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 15% bonus, 18% pension, training budget, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits.


Based from the company's Central London HQ, the team normally collaborate 2 days a week on-site.
