Cloud Target Model Consultant

Global FS - Insurance

London - Hybrid working

Day Rate: £1200 | 6 months contract


Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Target Operating Models (TOM) and aligning cloud strategies with business objectives.


This role involves working closely with stakeholders to assess their current operational structure, identifying gaps, and delivering customised models to optimise cloud governance, operational processes, and technology adoption, and requires expertise in Azure cloud architecture, automation, service management, and ensures compliance with best practices to drive efficient and scalable cloud operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current business operations and IT landscape in relation to Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and implement Azure-based Target Operating Models tailored to organisational needs.
  • Provide recommendations for optimising cloud governance, automation, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align the Azure operating model with business strategies.
  • Develop processes for cloud service delivery, operations, and monitoring.
  • Ensure Azure platform compliance with security, regulatory, and operational best practices.
  • Lead workshops and training sessions for teams on adopting the new operating model.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine cloud operating models based on feedback and evolving business needs.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture and operations.
  • Strong understanding of Target Operating Models and their implementation in a cloud environment.
  • Proficiency in cloud governance, automation, and operational frameworks.
  • Experience working with ITIL and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Education:

  • Relevant Azure certifications preferred.


This role requires someone with strong leadership and consultancy skills, capable of guiding clients through the transition to efficient, Azure-powered operations.
