I am currently recruiting for an interim Occupational Therapist on behalf of a large Adult Hospice for a minimum 12 week contract in Rotherham.
The successful candidate MUST have the following:
- Significant experience as an Occupational Therapist, including direct patient care in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including palliative care or chronic illness management.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Clinical Practice:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans for patients with palliative care needs.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence.
- Work closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Senior Occupational Therapist and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in case conferences, MDT meetings, and other collaborative discussions to optimize patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the OT service by engaging in audits, research, and service evaluations.
