Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer (SC Cleared)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rate: Market Rate (PAYE through Umbrella)

Note: Applicants must hold active SC Clearance and be sole UK nationals.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join an established Network Operations team. You will be responsible for providing Level 3 network support and be involved in network incident diagnostics, resolution, and change implementation. This is an opportunity to work with a supportive team, gaining exposure to advanced network technologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 3 network support within a well-established team.
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents effectively.
• Implement network changes based on ITSM requests.
• Participate in internal and vendor technical discussions.
• Work independently or as part of a larger team to meet project goals.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI software-defined networks (multi-site & multi-pod).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Experience using network management tools such as SolarWinds.
• Experience with Citrix NetScaler.
• Experience with network firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, AnyConnect Remote Access).
• Knowledge of Identity Services (AAA, Cisco ISE).
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex routing issues (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Experience in Netscaler administration.
