Job Title: Welfare Officer

Location: Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire

Salary: 21,000 Pro Rata ( 27,300 FTE) - Term Time Only (40 weeks per year)

Contract: Temporary 110pd PAYE (Immediate Start), permanent for the right candidate

Are you a compassionate and organised professional looking to make a difference in a vibrant school environment? We are seeking a Welfare Officer to join our client's dedicated team at a prestigious independent school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for sick, injured, and distressed pupils in the medical room.
• Manage first aid provisions, including risk assessments, accident reporting, and maintaining first aid supplies.
• Develop and maintain health care plans for pupils, ensuring their wellbeing.
• Offer personalised support and advice to pupils on various wellbeing issues, including mental health and relationships.
• Train staff on emergency first aid and specific health issues.
• Assist with the coordination of school events, trips, and charitable activities.
• Support the reception team and manage lost property.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
