A succesful and growing interior design studio is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join their team in Manchester.


This role involves working directly with the Creative Director & CEO on tasks and deliverables while overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large-scale developments (such as a 100-bedroom hotel) to various small and medium-sized commercial projects.


The Senior Designer will manage a team consisting of juniors and midweights. In this role, you will play a key part in setting milestone dates for design documentation issuance and serve as a positive role model, supporting the team and fostering a strong company culture. This position requires a passionate love of design, art, and beauty, with the responsibility of delivering sensory, experience-centered designs and providing seamless service to clients from start to completion. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years post qualification experience as an Interior Designer or Interior Architect.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the planning, coordination, and management of multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Maintain technical proficiency and deep knowledge of sustainably sourced materials, FF&E, and bespoke furniture design.
  • Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on design standards and project workflows.
  • Ensure clear, concise communication and strong presentation skills in client interactions and internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and architects to deliver cohesive project documentation and design integrity.
  • Lead the creative and conceptual stages of projects, focusing on sensory and experience-driven designs.
  • Attend site meetings, manage RFIs, and oversee the installation, snagging, and follow-up processes.
  • Contribute to setting and maintaining internal design standards while supporting team development and studio culture.
