Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Woking

Background

This small animal practice, established 18 years ago, has been under the ownership of the current Directors for 14 years. The practice is ready to undergo an expansion to increase their floor space and enhance their facilities, including more consultation rooms and the creation of a dedicated imaging and dental suite. The practice needs more Vets to aid in the expansion of the business.

Salary

£45,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience.

The Practice

• Currently undergoing exciting expansion to increase floor space and enhance facilities.
• Equipment includes ultrasound, digital x-ray, orthopaedic kit, laser therapy, dental equipment, blood testing machines (Idexx, Catalyst, ProCyte), multi-parameter monitors, BP monitors, drip pumps, piped gas and syringe drivers.
• Dental x-ray and electrosurgery are earmarked for the near future.
• A busy, yet efficiently managed practice.
• Medically, they handle a broad spectrum of cases typical of a well-established general practice.
• Healthy balance of both younger and older clients, bringing in pets across all age groups.

Your Role

• 4 days per week
• 1 in 4 Saturdays
• No OOH requirements
• Lead and mentor a diverse team.
• Contribute to business analytics and development.
• A good all-round GP is very welcome here, but if you have a clinical interest, are working towards a certificate or already possess one, this would be viewed positively.
• Participate in designing and executing expansion plans.
