Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Harlow. If you have a passion for civil engineering, highways, and are looking for your next exciting opportunity, this could be the role for you!

• Preparation of Bills of Quantities by taking off measures from drawings
• Working on highway projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of QS services
• Contract administration and management, with particular focus on NEC 3 and NEC 4 (advantageous)
• Cost planning, measurement, and managing costs throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaising effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Monitoring and managing project budgets to ensure profitability
• Producing reports and valuations for projects
• Ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual obligations

• HND in Civil Engineering or similar qualification
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with proven civil engineering and highways experience
• Experience in producing Bills of Quantities and taking off measures from drawings
• Strong understanding of highway project measurement
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a client-facing role
• Strong commercial awareness, with a focus on business success
• Good time management skills and the ability to manage workload effectively under pressure
• Valid UK driving licence

• Knowledge and experience with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
