Overview 


We are seeking to recruit an experienced and innovative Head of Marketing to oversee the Marketing function across all four brands within the group; Barmy Army, Barmy Army Travel, The R66T Academy and Emprise Teamwear. 


Reporting to the Commercial & Marketing Director, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for strategically developing and executing marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation and ultimately revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, brand management, and customer acquisition, specifically within the travel or sports industries. 


The Head of Marketing will have experience in managing teams, developing marketing strategies across a diverse range of online and offline channels, and be enthused by the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines in a critical growth period for the business. 


Responsibilities include:


  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's vision and business objectives
  • Lead the marketing team in planning, executing, and crucially analysing marketing campaigns across all channels to develop an insight-led approach to marketing optimisation
  • Strengthen the brand identities and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media to enhance online presence and optimise the potential of the brand following
  • Utilise analytics tools to measure and report on marketing performance and make data-driven decisions
  • Develop customer personas and implement targeted marketing campaigns to attract and retain customers
  • Manage customer feedback and insights to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Mentor and manage the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts
  • Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure maximum return on investment Emprise Group Ltd
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired outcomes 
  • Analyse ROI of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly


Personal specification:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing, brand management, or customer acquisition
  • Previous experience in the travel industry or sports marketing is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of analytics tools and marketing automation platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing teams and driving successful marketing campaigns
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Ethical, honest and transparent in their work
  • Deadline-driven, attention to detail, professional
