This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned planner looking to make a significant impact on exciting construction projects.

Role Overview:

As a Construction Planner, you will hold overall responsibility and accountability for ensuring that the construction projects are meticulously planned and monitored according to established timelines and strategic objectives. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior and Project Managers, as well as the pre-construction team, by delivering a high-level planning service that encompasses project plan preparation, baseline schedule tasks, resource profiling, and financial modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist project teams with all essential planning information to support project success.
- Create and implement effective project plans that include baseline scheduled tasks.
- Control and manage time-sensitive programmes focusing on design and procurement management.
- Ensure all works are planned effectively, adhering to best practice principles of planning.
- Collaborate with senior construction and commercial teams to produce programmes at both pre-construction and construction stages.
- Develop comprehensive programmes detailing all activities related to design management, procurement, temporary works, and third-party influences.
- Conduct weekly reviews of all project programmes, assessing current progress, critical path analysis, and identifying actions required to mitigate slippage and enable recovery.
- Analyse the programme for areas of improvement, risk reduction opportunities, and potential issues that may arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the trend and change process, including the production of project change reports and cost impact analysis, while providing feedback on risks and opportunities.
- Generate accurate and relevant reports that clearly outline the project status across construction, design, and procurement, highlighting issues and potential risks on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Implement robust management and monitoring procedures covering all aspects of design, procurement, manufacture, and installation of components on and off-site.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in construction planning, ideally within a contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
- Proficiency in planning software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Why Join?

- Be part of a forward-thinking organisation with a reputation for excellence.
- Opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-profile construction projects.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Supportive and collaborative work culture that values innovation and professional development.
