Accountant

Company Overview:
Our client is a fast-growing organisation seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate tax computations and ensure all payments are made on time, adhering to regulatory deadlines.
• Compile and present monthly management accounts and quarterly financial reports, providing insights that help drive business decisions.
• Develop and maintain monthly cash flow forecasts for the financial year, as well as monitor and manage cash on a weekly basis, producing short-term cash forecasts as required.
• Handle quarterly VAT returns, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the business with company secretarial tasks and Company House filings, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Conduct reconciliations, assist with year-end processes, and complete self-assessments as needed, working closely with the finance team to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks, with certification in these platforms highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and current tax regulations, with a proactive approach to staying updated on any changes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards in all financial operations.
