Service Desk Engineer - £26K - £32K
The client I am working with is looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join their team. They are looking for either an apprentice who is wanting to start a career in IT or someone who has had a few years experience working a similar role.
Key responsibilities:
- Work on the helpdesk to handle incoming calls and emails following established processes and priorities, adhering to agreed service levels. Identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions and actions.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of all issues and inquiries using the IT Service Management Software.
- Escalate and manage issues with third-party vendors, ensuring all parties receive regular progress updates.
- Develop expertise as a subject matter expert in core business systems.
- Provide support for company desktop solutions, manage Active Directory, user maintenance processes, and Microsoft Office products.
- Collaborate with the Operational Support team as needed to support onsite systems and activities.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements, patches, and bug fixes.
