The City Council is looking for two enthusiastic & dynamic Senior Project Managers, to help deliver our ambitious new Housing Strategy.
With a target of 36,000 new homes, including 10,000 new affordable homes, Manchester has set an ambitious target for new housing growth. In order to help us deliver our Strategy, we are seeking to appoint two experienced Senior Project Managers to coordinate and deliver a series of affordable housing projects in neighbourhoods in the North and South of the city. Upscaling affordable housing delivery is a key element of our drive to deliver inclusive growth. We are embarking upon game-changing investment in our localities, high street, and commercial centres. Clearly, affordable housing has a key role to play - helping to create new and inclusive low and zero carbon neighbourhoods across Manchester.
Based in the Strategic Housing team, the Senior Project Managers will play a leading role within the Growth & Development Directorate - set up to drive sustainable economic growth and the transformation of the city - coordinating work externally with Registered Providers through MHPP (the Manchester Housing Providers Partnership) and with private developers in conjunction with Development, Legal and Planning teams within MCC.
