Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect with active DV clearance to lead the design, implementation, and management of large-scale cloud architectures using Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding cloud strategies, defining architectural best practices, and ensuring that cloud solutions align with both technical and business requirements. The successful candidate will work on highly secure environments, often within government or defense sectors, leveraging Azure services to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Lead the design and architecture of Azure-based solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• Cloud Strategy: Develop and implement cloud strategies in line with business and technical goals.
• Solution Development: Design solutions across key Azure services like Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Networking.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all architectures meet stringent security requirements and comply with industry regulations and standards, especially in secure environments.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize and improve cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
• Governance and Automation: Implement governance frameworks and automation using Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, developers, operations teams, and external stakeholders to deliver robust cloud solutions.
• Mentoring: Guide and mentor engineering teams in Azure best practices and cloud technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Active DV Clearance (Mandatory).
• Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise in designing and deploying Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking (VNet, NSG, Load Balancer).
• Strong background in Azure Security: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Vault, Azure Security Center, and Azure Firewall.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in managing cloud costs and optimizing resources through Azure Cost Management.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and on-premises integration.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and working with sensitive or classified data.
