EC&I Technician
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) Technician to join the maintenance team at a cutting-edge gasification power facility. This role is ideal for a technician with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems, looking to contribute to the smooth operation of a renewable energy power plant.
Key Responsibilities of the EC&I Technician include:
- Perform diagnostic and repair work on all EC&I assets, including sensors, control systems (DCS, PLCs), and electrical systems, ensuring maximum plant uptime.
- Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to enhance plant availability.
- Participate in major maintenance activities, plant shutdowns, and outages to maintain efficient operation.
- Work closely with the team to troubleshoot faults and provide recommendations for system upgrades.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise and manage contractors on-site as needed, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols.
Skills and Experience Required:
- A completed apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Measurement & Control, or a related field, along with an HNC qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience within a heavy process environment, such as a power station, chemical plant, or refinery.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, and instrumentation systems, as well as some electrical systems.
- Experience using CMMS, preferably with Piranha.
- Ability to work independently and manage small projects, including the planning and execution of tasks.
- Familiarity with PID and 3-way loop systems is a plus.

- A salary of £41,224 per annum + bonus scheme
- The role includes on-call duties every three weeks, from Friday to Friday.
