Your new company

Join a local authority-owned organisation undergoing a significant transition to manage their property and stock independently. This organisation is building an in-house legal team to support this transition and ensure effective housing management.


Your new role

As a Housing Litigation Solicitor, you will be the second member to join the in-house legal team. This role involves managing a wide array of housing litigation matters, including tenancy issues, breaches, possession proceedings, unlawful occupation, and injunctions in both the private and social housing sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all areas of housing law (not just disrepair) and be capable of handling complex legal matters with minimal supervision. The role will be initially for 6 months as a probation period, and become a permanent post at the end of this time.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (not through SQE)
  • Extensive experience in all areas of housing law.
  • Strong knowledge of both private and public housing sectors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
