Join a global insurance firm with 18,000 employees across over 100 countries. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Claims Broker to act as the primary liaison between clients and insurers, ensuring claims are handled to expected standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and insurers, ensuring claims are handled to expected standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the work of others and manage complex claims.
- Determine work priorities and activities to achieve personal and team objectives.
- Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required.
- Provide relevant management information to senior management.
- Develop strong relationships with markets and negotiate to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Maintain ongoing delegated authority contracts appropriately and cost-effectively.
- Create comprehensive claims documents and present claims to underwriters.
- Review and prepare correspondence regarding notifications and claims.
- Keep clients and insurers informed of developments, liaising with third parties as necessary.
- Investigate and resolve queries from clients, ensuring all parties are informed throughout the process.
- Maintain up-to-date records on Group systems.
- Interpret instructions and implement actions according to policies and procedures.
- Stay informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the division/department.
Skills & Attributes:
- Significant previous claims-based experience, ideally within an international property broker.
- Good understanding of London market operations and claims-handling processes.
- Experience of PI, D&O.
- Knowledge of broking and underwriting processes.
- Awareness of the market, competitors, specific territories, and cultural nuances.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment and requirements.
- Specific systems knowledge relevant to claims processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines/targets.
- Proactive, able to work on own initiative, resilient, and calm under pressure.
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
