Field Service Engineer

Hours: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week

Pay: £28,000 - £33,000

Location: South East London

We are seeking a Field Service engineer who has experience in the repair and /or servicing of electro-mechanical equipment. You will be able to read diagrams and schematics and demonstrate a methodical approach to your work.

We are seeking candidates who are either based in the South East London area. You will be based from home and travelling to locations up to a hour away. You will be working on your own initiative however you will be part of a supportive team.

What our client can offer you:

• Manage all service requests efficiently and effectively to ensure that customers receive a prompt and professional service and equipment downtime is minimised.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standard.
• Liaise with staff at the beginning and end of each visit to ensure that their expectations are met.
• Process and fully complete service orders using laptop.
• Develop excellent customer relationships with managers.
• Manage van stock.
• Escalate any quality issues to the engineering and quality teams.
• Maximise sales opportunities by providing excellent customer service- pass on any leads for new business to the sales team.

What we are looking for:

• Experience of repair or servicing electro-mechanical equipment, reading diagrams and schematics.
• Self-motivated and the ability to work well on your own initiative
• Demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to your work, keeping calm under pressure.
• Be solution focused with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Have a good standard of PC literacy and confidence with computer updates.
• Experience of Networks/Networked products.
